SCMC Thailand Employee Benefits 2026–2027
Supporting Well-Being, Professional Growth and a Shared Future
At SCMC Thailand, we believe that caring for patients begins with caring for the people who serve them. Behind every consultation, treatment and service interaction is a team member contributing knowledge, responsibility, patience and genuine care.
Our approach to employee benefits goes beyond helping with everyday expenses. It encompasses health, safety, accommodation, professional development and opportunities to discover new perspectives. We want our people to have a stable foundation from which to develop their abilities and grow with the organisation.
For 2026–2027, SCMC Thailand’s benefits programme brings together support for new employees and longer-term initiatives designed to enhance their working lives and personal well-being.

- A Warm Welcome and Support During the First 30 Days
We want every new team member to feel welcomed and ready to learn. Our Welcome Pack includes everyday essentials such as a notebook, pen, face masks and an employee identification card, together with SCMC-branded items including a polo shirt, an insulated water bottle and a reusable tote bag.
New employees also receive access to a digital employee handbook via QR code, providing a convenient way to explore company policies, working practices and the organisational structure.
During the first 30 days, each new employee is paired with a Buddy who helps them become familiar with the workplace, facilities, organisational culture and internal coordination. The Buddy also introduces colleagues across departments, giving new team members a supportive point of contact as they settle into their roles.
- Appropriate Equipment, Structured Orientation and Role-Specific Training
Effective work requires appropriate tools. Depending on the position and its responsibilities, the company allocates equipment such as a laptop, mouse and laptop bag, together with a corporate email account, access to internal systems and the software required for the role.
Employees in positions approved for hybrid working may also be eligible for reimbursement of home-working equipment expenses, subject to the applicable company policy.
Our orientation programme introduces SCMC’s vision, mission, culture and service standards. It also covers workplace safety, confidentiality, personal and patient data protection, professional conduct and role-specific training delivered by supervisors and team members.
We want employees to understand both what their responsibilities involve and why those responsibilities matter, helping them approach their work with confidence and an appropriate sense of accountability.
- Health Support from the Beginning of Employment
SCMC supports pre-employment health screening. Employees may submit receipts from designated healthcare providers for reimbursement within the company’s approved rates and requirements. Arrangements should be confirmed with Human Resources or the designated coordinator before the examination.
When employees become unwell, they have access to medical care at no charge at SCMC Clinic and designated network or affiliated hospitals, within the scope of the company’s medical welfare programme and its coordination procedures.
The company also arranges social security registration within the applicable legal timeframe and coordinates access to group health and accident insurance in accordance with the policy applicable to each employee category. Inpatient, outpatient and accident coverage, together with their effective dates, depend on the insurance policy, employment terms and relevant benefits provisions.
Company-provided medical care and insurance benefits have different coverage arrangements. Employees are encouraged to consult the designated coordinator to understand which benefit applies and how to use it.
- Accommodation in Sathorn, Transportation and Safety
To help reduce living expenses and support a more convenient working life, the company provides accommodation in a luxury condominium in Sathorn, with accommodation charges, water and electricity covered, for eligible employees.
Advance booking is required. Use of the accommodation is subject to room availability, allocation arrangements and shared-residence rules, allowing employees to benefit from the facilities while maintaining a considerate and orderly living environment.
The company also provides coordinated transportation using Alphard and Fortuner vehicles, with a professional bodyguard and security team supporting safety according to the assignment and operational arrangements.
Our concern for employee safety extends beyond the workplace to work-related travel.
- Support for Personal Care and Professional Presentation
The company periodically allocates budgets for work attire and dental care, in accordance with its policies and allocation cycles. These benefits help employees manage the costs of maintaining their oral health and dressing appropriately for their roles.
Employees may also access beauty treatments, aesthetic services and products at cost price, subject to the approved selection and applicable conditions. Medical or procedural services remain subject to individual suitability.
Our aim is to make personal care more accessible while allowing employees to choose what is appropriate for them.
- Additional Benefits for Employees in Heads Roles
Employees designated as Heads under the company’s eligibility criteria receive additional benefits, including a complimentary relaxation massage every two months and luxury hotel stays on selected occasions, with shared accommodation with a friend, as arranged and approved by the company.
These benefits provide opportunities for those responsible for leading teams to rest, look after themselves and experience service in settings beyond their everyday work.
- Investment in Service, Psychology and Professional Development
Staff development is an important part of SCMC’s approach. We support learning that helps employees understand people, communicate appropriately and work effectively together—not only develop technical skills.
Learning opportunities cover service, psychology, professional presentation, communication and knowledge relevant to working in a healthcare setting. Examples of training providers include Nai Lert Butler, iStrong and John Robert Powers.
Additional opportunities include joint programmes with Srisukho Hospital, learning activities involving Ministry of Public Health personnel, and training opportunities involving companies such as Zuellig Pharma and Novo Nordisk, where relevant to employees’ responsibilities and development plans.
Course selection, participation and scheduling depend on the requirements of each role, the company’s staff development plan and programme availability. The emphasis is on learning that employees can apply meaningfully in their work and professional growth.
- Annual Team Travel and Organisational Development
The company arranges annual team travel and organisational development activities, or OD, giving employees opportunities to spend time together outside their usual work setting, recharge and build relationships across departments.
These activities allow colleagues to get to know one another, exchange perspectives and strengthen their ability to work as a team. We value the understanding and trust that support effective coordination and continuity of service.
- Dining and Hospitality Experiences That Broaden Perspectives
Employees have opportunities to take part in monthly breakfast visits to five-star hotels, with participation arranged on a rotating basis.
The company also hosts complimentary meals on selected occasions at fine restaurants, with examples including Aman’s ARVA and R-Haan, as well as selected Michelin-recognised restaurants.
Alongside enjoying a meal and spending time together, employees can observe different approaches to welcoming guests, communicating, anticipating needs and attending to detail. These experiences offer perspectives that can be reflected on and adapted to their own work.
- Responsible Wine Appreciation and Cultural Learning
SCMC offers introductory wine appreciation activities and opportunities to sample selected wines from time to time. The emphasis is on understanding aromas and flavours, dining etiquette and food culture, rather than the quantity consumed.
These are educational experiences and do not encourage intoxication. Participation is voluntary, limited to employees who meet the applicable legal age requirements, and respectful of those who choose not to drink alcohol. Health, safety and professional responsibilities remain important considerations.
Growing Professionally While Living Well
SCMC Thailand’s benefits programme reflects our intention to support employees across different areas of life: everyday needs, health, safety, professional development and opportunities for new experiences.
We want our people to find more than a workplace. We want them to have an environment in which they can learn, support one another and build a meaningful future while contributing to the care of patients and the wider community.
